The Secret Lives of Booksellers and Librarians: True stories of the magic of reading by James Patterson, Matt Eversmann, and Chris Mooney
Book that I enjoyed reading
As one reads the title and subtitle will get to know about the contents of the book. Let me brief you about the book and let you know what impresses the reader (at least from my perspective).
This book is in 5 parts:
To be a bookseller, you have to play detective
I could talk about books forever
I can’t imagine what people do without books in their lives
It doesn’t matter what you like to read, as long as you love to read
Just one more chapter, please, just one more chapter.
Each chapter has several stories of life experiences of bookstore owners, people who work in bookstores, and the librarians in various departments. Each story either will help you find the joy of reading or why, one should read. People with a passion for books and the profession helped them in realising the passion that gives immense joy.
My perspective:
This book is for all. Meaning for readers to check and realise the joy of reading, and books that bring about peace, and sanity. About the bookstores that do wonders. The potential of libraries and the librarians.
For those who are not readers will help in finding the magic of books. How the bookstores work and help in bringing the joy of reading to the community. This also gives you the libraries and how the librarians help in reaching out to the community and help in making readers.
The book helped me to find more readings that added to my TBR. I learned several aspects that tell me that I am on the right track. The book helped me to learn aspects to work with.
